Our paper, “Variable Precision Depth Encoding for 3D Range Geometry Compression,” that details a more flexible 3D data / depth compression method won the Best Student Paper award from the 3D Measurement and Data Processing conference at IS&T’s International Symposium on Electronic Imaging, 2020.
